Self Pace (Print Based) Learning Module for Adults


LEARNING MODULE DEVELOPED IN A STEP BY STEP PROCESS THROUGHOUT EME 5603 (Intro to the Systematic Design of Instruction) (Instructor: Dr. James Russel; visit prof from Purdue Univ)

PROJECT CIRCUMSTANCES: This module was completed in ten steps across the full length of our Instructional Design course . Each step was a practical implementation of part of the Dick and carey model. Each stage had to be graded and approved before students moved on to the next stage.

ASSIGNMENT STAGES:
1. Craft an acceptable performance objective for the module. Describe target audience.
2. Flow chart a Goal Analysis of the objective being performed.
3. Interview two target audience persons. Write a report. (Audience Analysis)
4. Write up a report on the learning/performance context. (Context Analysis)
5. Create a table of performance objectives for each step of the Goal Analysis (#2).
6. Create a table of Assessment items that are aligned to each objective in step #5.
7. Create a report of the Instructional strategy to be used for each objective.
8. Design the instructional module itself. (Inc. pre/post tests)
9. Execute a One-On-One evaluation with three target audience members. Report the results and show the changes made with each of these participants. (Click to see evaluation sheet filled out by participants)
10. Execute a Small group evaluation with six target audience members. Write up a report of your findings along with recommended changes.

Note: Out of respect to Drs. Rieser and Russell I have not posted the 10 assignment sheets even though scans of my graded sheets would be informative. These sheets are the core of their course and not mine to post online.
