The above webvideo is a 45 minute audio/slide based introduction to podcasting. It was designed to be watched online by student teachers unfamiliar with podcasting.

The video was created by the author using Camtasia 4. During the fall 2007 semester the author was a graduate assistant of Dr. Vanessa Dennen on a project designed to use podcasts as a means of teaching EME2040 (Intro to Ed Tech) students about technology integration into future classrooms. An additional goal of the project was to give EME2040 students the knowledge needed to start podcasting themselves.

A link to this web video has been provided to students wanting to learn how to make podcasts.

The content of the instructional video was gleaned from the web and without the help of any spcialists. The project was requested by Dr. Dennen as part of a larger project mentioned in the "Project Context" tab. The graphcis in the screen shots were partially created by the author and partially gleaned from the web.

This project did go to completion and was ultimately put into use as an instructional tool for EME2040 students. The product has not been futher developed, although it needs to be resaved (and uploaded) due to the fact that it was saved to connect to an LMS but is not currently connected to one. (This is the source of the pop-up error that must be clicked past before viewing the video. It is unknown how many people have used or viewed the video to date.

The authors role in the project was that of the sole designer. While there was no direct collaboration on the product, its final use was dependent upon Dr. Vanessa Dennen's approval. The project was designed, researched, and recorded entirely by the author.
